The best solution for lift installations, maintenance and repairs, our lightweight LEWIS lift shaft towers are designed to be easily erected indoors and outdoors. These towers are highly versatile and allow any lift engineer to work safely on a strong platform at any height. The small dimensions of the towers mean they can be used within the confines of a lift shaft or for any difficult and hard to reach spaces.
The LEWIS liftshaft towers are most commonly used in lift shafts; however, they are also a common solution for specialist areas such as Vessels and Tanks. The tower has a wide range of heights available reaching up to 24.2m in working height, and you are able to purchase any components to suit your needs including upgrading the stabilisers to telescopic for those awkward spaces.
Our British Made towers fully comply with the latest UK regulations, product standards and requirements.

Some sellers leave safety-critical components out of the kit to make the price look lower. Here’s what to check for.
Commonly left out of cut-price kits
Leave these out and the headline price drops — but the tower can no longer be built to BS EN 1004-1:2020, the UK product standard for mobile access towers. Every LEWIS tower includes all of these components, in the correct quantity, as standard.
Once you add back the components a cut-price kit leaves out, the “cheaper” tower usually costs more — and you’re left to source and fit the safety-critical parts yourself.
Illustrative example based on a like-for-like single-width 3T tower. Component prices and figures correct as of June 2026.
Why it matters: a tower missing guardrails, braces or stabilisers is a fall and collapse risk — and falls from height remain the biggest cause of serious injury on UK sites (HSE). These parts aren’t optional extras; they’re what makes the tower safe to climb and what BS EN 1004-1:2020 requires. Using non-conforming equipment can also affect your liability and insurance position.
